User talk:Mehran Mangrio
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome to Wikipedia! I moved your page about yourself to your user page. NawlinWiki 13:40, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices, as you did with Abdul Qadir Junejo. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. -Cquan (talk, AMA Desk) 18:14, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
- Speedy deletion is defined at WP:CSD. You may not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you create yourself for any reason. Place the {{hangon}} on the article if you wish to dispute and make your arguments on the article's talk page. There is no time frame associated with speedy deletes...an admin will get around to it and make a decision to delete it or not. Hope that clears that up a bit. -Cquan (talk, AMA Desk) 18:23, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image source problem with Image:Dr. baloch.jpg
This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:Dr. baloch.jpg. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:01, 31 August 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If you believe you received this message in error, please notify the bot's owner. Thank you. [edit] License tagging for Image:Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 11:07, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Sindhi early writings.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Sindhi early writings.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:23, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:Shah Latif.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Shah Latif.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:30, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 07:22, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] image problems
Hi, I see you are having problems with images. I can help if you provide a bit more detail. For example, where was Image:Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai.jpg originally from; was it from a book? Do you know when it was published? John Vandenberg 05:46, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia does not accept images unless we know where it came from, except in extreme cases. So you must record where you obtain an image from. John Vandenberg 09:17, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Qadeer Mangrio.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:Qadeer Mangrio.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 11:40, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Possibly unfree Image:Qadeer_Mangrio.jpg
An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Qadeer_Mangrio.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 12:14, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Images
Stop uploading them please. If you look at them, you'll see that the license you're using, "non-commercial use only", is prohibited on Wikipedia due to our idea of free distributable content. Just throwing it out there, since they're automatically tagged to be deleted on upload with that license. Wizardman 15:37, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, if you can give me a source, basically where you found these images, I could probabl determine their copyright status. Wizardman 15:46, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Alright. The site says sindhiab © all rights reserved, so there are five things you would have to do to ensure the images remain on here. First, add a copyright tag. Not the non-commercial use one, but just one that says that the work is copyrighted. Second, make sure you add in the source of the image (which you gave me just now so that saves time). Third, ad an appropriate fair-use rationale (why does it belong on wikipedia/why is this image needed/what is it's purpose/can a free image be located?) If you want a good examle of one I can look for one. Fourth, make sure you're using the pictures in articles, which leads to Fifth. If they're copyrighted, then you can't put them on your userpage. People hate this rule but we can't justify copyrighted images on user pages, sorry. Hope this helps, let me know if you have questions. Wizardman 15:55, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image source problem with Image:Bedil Masroor.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Bedil Masroor.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear.
