Mehran Kardar is a prominent Iranian born physicist, full Professor of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, full P

He is particularly known for the KPZ equation in theoretical physics, which has been named after him. He was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 2001.
