Mehrab Kaboli

Mehrab is a character in Persian epic Shahnameh. He is king of Kabol and is most famous for being father of Rudaba and grandfather of her son, the famous persian hero, Rostam. Mehrab is mentioned as a descendant of Zahak which is why initially everyone is against the union between his daughter and her future husband Zal.[citation needed]
