Mehendiganj is located at 22.8319° N 90.5333° E . It has 55128 units of house hold and total area 435.79 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Mehendiganj has a population of 292436. Males constitute are 51.31% of the population, and females 48.69%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 137615. Mehendiganj has an average literacy rate of 30.7% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
