Mehboob is a writer of Bollywood film song lyrics. He was born in the Nashik district of India in a village called Chindwara. His family moved to the city of Mumbai for good in the 1940s where he received his primary education, first in English and later in Urdu.

Mehboob-Ur-Rehman Khattak is a banker, working in Islamabad, born in famous Khattak Tribe at Karak on November 13, 1981.
Ismail Darbar is a composer of film music who first collaborated with Mehboob. Mehboob got his first break in the form of Ram Gopal Varma’s film Drohi. Then came ‘Rangeela’ which was a successful film, and the songs became popular. His next success came with Mani Ratnam’s film Bombay then Hamma Hamma.
A.R.Rahman's film project Vande Mataram was his next success. In 1999 he worked with his first collaborator, Ismail Darbar, on Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and was nominated for a Filmfare Award.
