[edit] Xiaolin Showdown episodes

When you create articles for Xiaolin Showdown episodes, can you add so it can be listed in the category? Also, if there is not a page (or redirect) that has the title of an episode of the series, the "(Xiaolin Showdown)" at the end of the article name is not necessary (with or without a space separated). Ryulong 22:23, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Again, please do not forget to add the Xiaolin Showdown episodes category to the articles when you are done. It helps keep all of the episodes together. Ryulong 19:46, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Silk Spitter → Silk Spinner

Please stop making this change. The name of the item is the Silk Spitter. That is the name that they use in the show and in the card game. The next time you make this edit, I will count it as vandalism. Ryulong 20:48, 29 June 2006 (UTC)

The same thing goes for the Tongue of Saiping to the Tongue of Tsaiping. The Kids WB website (although a forum) lists it as the Tongue of Saiping, as do the rest of the Xiaolin Showdown information on Wikipedia. Ryulong 23:40, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
Please do not deliberately introduce incorrect information into articles. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Ryulong 19:30, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
I apologize. It's just that several editors think that it is the "Silk Spinner" for some strange reason. That's why the hidden message is in there, as well as my comments on the article's talk page. Ryulong 19:43, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Uploading pictures for Xiaolin Showdown

When you upload a file, you have to tag it as a TV screenshot by choosing it from the drop list or placing "tv-screenshot" (without the quotes) in the editting space where you upload. Also remember to add the category Category:Xiaolin Showdown so it can be categorized correctly. You do this by adding "" (again, without the quotes) into the editting box. Also, remember to add the following text into the editting box, as well: "A still of the animated television series, Xiaolin Showdown". You can also be more specific, by stating what is in the picture specifically (be sure to name the image accordingly). Also, in order for the images to be qualified as fair use, they have to be low-resolution, so adding say photographs of the television, and they're really big, doesn't really help. Images around like 600 x 480 or 800 x 600 are better than things that my 1920 by 1200 screen can't process. Ryulong 19:58, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, but where in Wikapedia do you upload it?

Sorry, there's a link on the left sidebar that says "Upload file." Ryulong 22:10, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Or you can click here. Ryulong 22:11, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

And sorry once more, i did everything you said, but the uploader doesn't allow any of my images. How is that? (Sorry if i'm disturbing you.)

What is the message that you are getting when you are trying to upload an image? Ryulong 22:21, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

It says that BMP images aren't recommended file format.

Ah... Bitmaps are much to large for Wikipedia. Try saving the pictures as jpegs, gifs, or pngs. Ryulong 22:23, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

How do i do that?

Well, image editors can save images as JPG, GIF, or PNG. You just have to make it such. Since you have BMPs, you must be using MS Paint. To change what the file saves as, when you save the file, under file type, change it to one of the other file types. Ryulong 22:29, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks man, check out my newly uploaded pics will yah?

I have, but you must remember that when you upload pictures that are screenshots of television, you must choose that under copyright information, or add "tv-screenshot" to the editting box when you first upload them. The images might be deleted otherwise. Also, you must remember to add to the box, too. Ryulong 23:03, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

Would you put that when naming your image or when giving descriptions and authors name?

[edit] License tagging for Image:Kimiko with Silk Spinner and Shroud Of Shadows.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Kimiko with Silk Spinner and Shroud Of Shadows.JPG. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Megasean3000

A tag has been placed on Megasean3000, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add hangon on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

[edit] Xiaolin Showdown and Yu-Gi-Oh Crossovers

Sorry, but I've deleted this article. Before writing new articles, take a glance at WP:NOTE. This is our policy on what Wikipedia should include, and what it can't. -- Zanimum 16:23, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Wudai Warrior Adventures has likewise been tagged for deletion. Only published fiction with significant sales and/or reviews from notable publications is considered Notable. Fanfic is not. Please do not create any more such articles. Fan-1967 16:53, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
The Dream Land also. Fan-1967 16:54, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Kimiko with Silk Spinner and Shroud Of Shadows.JPG)

Thanks for uploading Image:Kimiko with Silk Spinner and Shroud Of Shadows.JPG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. – Riana 06:53, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
