[edit] WikiProject Guitarists newsletter
The WikiProject Guitarists Newsletter |
|
Hello all! Time for the next installment of the WikiProject Guitarists newsletter. I recently went through and trimmed the member list again to remove inactive participants. I haven't been too active recently because I'm finishing a Master's degree but I'll have some more free time coming up. I will probably spend some time cleaning up equipment articles since many of them read like adverts or contain no useful information. We have a lot of great people working on the project, including professional guitarists and even luthiers. We have the potential to write a lot of great articles. If you are looking for something to do, see the open tasks on the main project page or see the column to the right for specific suggestions. --Spike Wilbury ♫ talk 23:30, 18 December 2007 (UTC) |

[edit] WQA filed against you
Having examined the complaint, I wish for you to keep the following in mind in the future.
If you feel that an individual is engaging in vandalism repeatedly (deliberate attempts to compromise the integrity of Wikipedia), then please make your concerns known at Wikipedia:Administrator_intervention_against_vandalism. Similarly, if you feel that an individual is engaging in Sock-puppetry, then as the policy states, please make your concerns known at Wikipedia:Suspected_sock_puppets. Remember, it is unacceptable for an editor to continually accuse another of egregious misbehavior in an attempt to besmirch their reputation. Concerns should be brought up in the appropriate forums.
If you can indicate at the WQA page that you agree to take your concerns to those forums rather than to make accusations against another editor, then this WQA can be closed. Regards - Ncmvocalist (talk) 09:06, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] You're welcome
The entire Led Zeppelin "who lifted what from where?" section is just original research. They had to make a small number of concessions (mainly for lyrics) for a very small number of tracks. And it's been documented in court. And it can be added because of those valid citations. The rest of just personal opinion. David Bowie dated a 14 year old girl. And I have seen editors try and tag him as a pedophile. He has never been charged, or even questioned for such an offence. So it can't be mentioned or insinuated anywhere in his article. Led Zeppelin have never been charged or have not had to make any sort of financial remuneration for any artists other then the 2-3 that have been documented in court. Any of the other supposed comparisons are just that, "supposed". Assumptions and opinions have no place here in this project. And you were right to stand up for the integrity of Wikipedia the way you did. Keep up the good work. Cheers and take care! Anger22 (Talk 2 22) 01:30, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
