The Great COVER-Up will possibly be the sophomore cover album by Canadian horror rock band The Heretics. There is currently no specific release date stated by guitarist Solomon Ach, and recently it has been proposed whether or not the album should be recorded at all. Its title is a reference to an exploitation of a conspiracy. This will be the band's first album to feature lead guitarist and founder Solomon Ach performing lead vocals for (granted that it is recorded), and pending the reaction from fans, if he will reprise vocal duties on subsequent albums by the band. The album is set to feature cover versions of songs by bands including Slipknot, Metallica, Wednesday 13, Stone Sour, Trashlight Vision, and Bob Seger.
Unlike with The Heretics' planned debut album Ghouligan's Island, there are no talks as of yet regarding whether or not Vixen Windstorm will produce The Great COVER-Up, but the possibility is not absolutely ruled out at this time. Also unlike the band's debut album, where he will also perform session vocals and bass for the band, Windstorm's potential contribution to this record at all is uncertain as of yet.

[edit] Background information
In August 2007, The Heretics guitarist and founder Solomon Ach revealed plans on recording a double cover album which would also act as the band's sophomore studio album, following their debut album Ghouligan's Island to be released on December 21, 2012.
Originally set for a 2014 release, by mid August 2007 Ach had come to abandon the idea of The Great COVER-Up due to the planned recording and release schedule of his dark wave side project, Caramycins, in Fall 2014. The album's release at a later time had not yet been ruled out however. As of late 2007, Ach had laid to rest the Caramycins project to concentrate on The Heretics. This decision brought the recording of The Great COVER-Up, back into consideration. "With this does this leave an opening for The Great COVER-Up to be put into action, I think it's a possibility."
