Megingjord

In Norse mythology, the Megin-gjörð ("Power-Belt") was a belt which doubled the Ás-strength ("god"-strength) of whoever wore it. It was the Megingjörð that gave Thor the strength to lift Mjölnir, but he also needed the Járngreipr ("iron-grippers"), a pair of iron gloves in order to wield it. It has also been said that the more the belt is tightened, the stronger the bearer becomes.
