Megan Rochell (born August 19, 1985) is an American contemporary R&B singer, who is signed to Def Jam Records.[citation needed] Her biggest hit to date is the 2006 single, "The One You Need".

Born Megan Rochell Nieves in Brooklyn, New York to an African American mother and a Puerto Rican father,[citation needed] Rochell performed on It's Showtime at the Apollo, singing Monica's "Before You Walk Out My Life". She was then discovered by Nathan Morris, a member of Boyz II Men.

Her first single, "The One You Need", was released in 2006 and peaked at number 42 on Billboard magazine's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It was produced by Rodney Jerkins and featured Fabolous. The second single, "Floating", peaked at number 55 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Her third single, released in early 2007, was the song "Let Go". It peaked at number 34 on the Rhythmic Top 40 chart. Later in 2007, Rochell also appeared in P-Star's Exercise Your Body and Mind workout DVD.

Megan Rochell signed with Maddtyme Records, the label of Maddscientist and is record a new debut album coming 2008.[citation needed] The first single will be "Hands in the Air".[citation needed]
