Mega Channel, also known as Mega TV, was the second private channel to launch on the Cyprus airwaves. Mega has been long dedicated to Cyprus & Greek programming, kids programs, foreign programs and church oriented programs.
TV shows like “Ta Psarka”, “To Sirial”, “Avlajhia” (locan productions) and many shows from Mega Channel Greece were some of the most popular shows on Mega. Mega is one of the more popular channels in Cyprus.

The Mega Channel logo used to consider 10 or 12 lines. With MEGA in the middle and sometimes channel were located at the bottom. The color started from yellow, golden yellow, gold, mandarin, slightly orange at both sides, orange-rose, orange-pink, rose and pink. Today’s Mega channel logo is Text MEGA, ME- are widened to the left and -GA are widened to the right. The mascots of the station are Meg and Ega.

The station is located at Nicosia. It is broadcast on channels 24, 25, 57, 42, 64, 34 and 64. Signals can be received all over Cyprus and Mega Channel is also carried on digital cable systems and via internet.
Until 1999, Mega Channel was named “O Logos” (The Word) and it was owned completely by the Church Of Cyprus.
