[edit] Do any of these things actually exist?

First of all, besides being huge abonations, do any of these crazy ideas actually exist? If not, I believe this category should be renamed "fictional megastructures" as it sounds like this is basically just a place to put things from sci fi shows and crazy people's ideas (globus cassus). No offense but anyone who wants to tear the Earth apart to build some sort of flat biodome should be shot.

Many might be distinguished from fictional structures because they are actually engineering plans for something that could (conceivably) be built - but usually they require fictional materials, so... 70.15.116.59 (talk) 16:31, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
