[edit] Editing the Discussion section

For some reason the text that I've added to the Discussion section does not show up in the text edit box after I click in on the "edit" link. I've tried removing it from the main page and re-adding it in to the Discussion section, but it still doesn't work.

While I was trying to get this to work an error came up saying:

"The Wikipedia database is currently locked, and is not accepting any edits or other modifications. This usually indicates that the server software is being upgraded, or routine database maintenance is underway.

The database lock is most likely temporary and will probably be lifted soon. We apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused. You can continue to browse Wikipedia articles while the database is locked.

The Wikimedia Foundation system administrator who locked the database offered this explanation: "The database has been automatically locked while the slave database servers catch up to the master"

For further information about what's going on, you can visit the #wikipedia channel on the Freenode IRC network."

So maybe that had something to do with it. I don't know. But until someone can think of a solution I think we'll have to edit the main article page directly instead of the subsections. -- noosphere 03:32, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

I think for some reason it's editing the section below. Try looking at the end of the url &action=edit&section=8 or whatever the number is, and substituting the number before that. If that doesn't work, editing the main page definitely will. --Keitei (talk) 07:52, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
