[edit] What's going on?
Three problems: 1) Verita insists on adding excessively flowery language to achievements by Professor Dabashi (known in wiki as "peacock terms"). I feel like the quality of the article suffers as a result. 2) Verita vigorously objects to including a controversial quote the professor once made, for which some people have accused him of anti-semitism. Problem is, these facts are not in dispute. The professor doesn't deny making the quote (although he denies he is anti-semitic). There is also no denying that people accused him of anti-semitism. The article doesn't make any judgements on Dabashi's guilt, but Verita still takes any criticism of Dabashi extremely personally and insists the whole thing be removed. 3) Verita's (and Subhan1's) attitude on the page is exremely uncivil and bullying at times. He calls people that don't agree with him "losers" and "Zionists", if anyone else makes any changes, he always immediately reverts the page back to his own edits. The page has been protected more than once in the past because of this (I just requested another page protection, but this time was refused). Since over 90% of the edits in his history are on this page, he is essentially running a single purpose account to promote this one page.BuboTitan (talk) 19:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] What would you like to change about that?
I would simply like the article to be a little more neutral and objective, instead of a vehicle just to praise Prof Dabashi, and to include the important quote. If Verita or anyone else would like to add evidence that Prof Dabashi is not an anti-semite, then please add it to the article.BuboTitan (talk) 19:05, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
