[edit] What's going on?
The article has been edit-protected due to two or three text conflicts. most importantly, i want to add three sentences to the article which would explain the difference between "Occupied territories" and "Disputed territories", and who uses these terms. the other side claims that this would clutter the article. There are a few other issues, described at the talk page.
even though the article has been edit-protected for a very long time it has seemed impossible to get an admin to look into this or to address it. --Steve, Sm8900 (talk) 14:34, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, problems are now resolved, since yesterday, through discussions between pedro gonnet and myself. Edit protection has been removed. problems appear done. If anyone knows of any further open issues, please feel free to start a new amtter here at any time. thanks. --Steve, Sm8900 (talk) 19:58, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] What would you like to change about that?
I would like to find some compromise on language which we can include in the article itself, and then move to a compromise of some sort. this is Wikipedia, after all. Hopefully, we can then resolve this positivley, and move this towards some resolution. --Steve, Sm8900 (talk) 14:56, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mediator notes
Not an experienced mediator but if you find me acceptable I will try and help you resolve the conflict. Please state the exact problem for me. As I understand the talk page the issue is whether to use "occupied" vs "disputed" to describe the Palestinian territories, Is that correct? I prefer to keep the discussion on this page so please respond only here. Nomen NescioGnothi seauton 15:16, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- Glad to hear the matter has been resolved without outside help. Does that mean we can close this case? Unless somebody objects I will do so in three days. Nomen NescioGnothi seauton 13:07, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

- yes. please feel free to go ahead and close it. thanks for your input, by the way. I think the presence of an outside party was enough to make us feel we could reach a positive resolution. So your involvement may have been of short duration, but it was valuable. thanks. --Steve, Sm8900 (talk) 18:13, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Closing my first case. Great, without any input from me you guys were able to find a compromise. Kudos to you all.:) Nomen NescioGnothi seauton 08:10, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
