[edit] Request details
[edit] Who are the involved parties?
- User:Dc76 and User:Moldopodo for Bălţi page and Bălţi talk page; User:Edokter for application without explication of NPA policy and refusal of analysis of request for application of NPA policy
[edit] What's going on?
Talk:Bălţi. Disagreement regarding controversial edits, characterisation of vandalism[1], characterisation of application of NPA policy[2] and[3]. On the talk page from here[4] till the end of the talk page. The most important edit differencies, some of which are qualifiable as vandalism can be seen here[5]
[edit] What would you like to change about that?
- Delete spam, sneaky vandalism, intentional misinformation and intentional nonsense edits by Dc76
- Receive explications from Edokter why did he apply NPA policy to Dc76 request (or without Dc76 request) and consequently modified my talk page and why he said he was unable to analyse my request for application of NPA policy against Dc76?
[edit] Mediator notes
Firstly, if this was a vandalism problem, you wouldn't be requesting mediation. Vandals are users who replace pages with 'poop', not editors you engage in mediation.
Secondly, if you stop calling people vandals, and start calling them editors, the personal attack policy issues should (hopefully) disappear.
Also, usually, how this site operates is that when another editor adds content that you disagee with, you add {{fact}} tags and then give the other editor 24 hours / 7 days / a month to find sources before removing the content. Could you advise whether this has been attempted? Addhoc 15:10, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- As for the Balti page proper, I have put recently one tag like this, no answer received (and, honestly, I do not expect one). On the History of Balti page, plenty of citation request tags were put on 17 October, and they are still empty there. Moldopodo 15:32, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Moldopodo
- Could you please give me your answer on the indicated above problem with Edokter and his refusal to even consider possible qualification of Dc76 statements in my regard, as violating the NPA policy? However, Edokter has done the contrary, he analised my statements in regard of Dc76 and applied to them NPA policy (at Dc76's request I guess or otherwise). Moldopodo 15:32, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Moldopodo
- Also, please, if you have time, read the comments other users left on Dc76 edits on the Balti talk page. Thank you for taking care of this case. Moldopodo 15:32, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Moldopodo
- Also, your phrase "if you stop calling people vandals" is misleading, as I have not called Dc76 vandal. I have qualified his/her edits as acts of vandalism on Balti page and on Balti talk page, as their characterisation strictly corresponds to the definition of Wikipedia vandalism. I have found nothing that justifies application of NPA policy in my regard from the definitons of NPA existing on Wikipedia. I do not think I should remind you the definitions proper (which I can), as you seem to be here much longer than me and know all the Wikipedia applicable texts better than me. May be you are applying in your conclusions new definitions which I have not seen? Moldopodo 15:38, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Moldopodo
