[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Daemon8666 19:30, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
...The_Slim_Shady_LP; The_Eminem_Show; Curtain_Call:_The_Hits; The_Marshall_Mathers_LP; Encore_(album)
Who's involved?
...Myself and another editor, 2Pac
What's going on?
...I have removed the Tracks section from each of Eminem's Album's articles - these sections are large, make the articles extremely long, are unverified, and therefore totally original research. Each attempt to remove them with explanations on the discussion pages of the articles and the User page in question have been reverted multiple times. Not only are they unverified, but they are claiming an insight into the mind of a songwriter that no Wiki editor can claim - it is my belief that in addition to being unverified, these statements may be completely unverifiable and should be removed.
What would you like to change about that?
...I am citing existing consensus - remove the material until it is verified. As an encyclopedia, you cannot add info in and expect it to be verified for you. Applicable sections are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citing_sources

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:No_original_research I know you know these already, just putting in what I have already tried to explain to 2Pac.

Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
...Do what you have to

[edit] Mediator response

It looks like none of the IPs have returned since the 5th, so is mediation still necessary? I have a feeling that it would be difficult to speak with the IPs anyway unless they register an account, so if they continue I would suggest Wikipedia:Semi-protection as an alternate course to encourage the users to get an account to discuss the issue. Does this sound fine? Cowman109Talk 17:21, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
