PSully

Where is the issue taking place?
...Reggie McNeal
Who's involved?
...myself and an anonymous user (only the IP address shows up)
What's going on?
...I am new to Wikipedia and am not very familiar with protocol - I expanded the "Reggie McNeal" page from a stub into an article. McNeal is a football player and I tried to make the page as neutral as possible. This person is obviously a McNeal fan and has twice reverted my edits and changed the language to make it pro-McNeal rather than unbiased (my content listed both advocacy and criticisms of McNeal).
What would you like to change about that?
...I would like to stop people that are not registered from editing the article OR I would like this person to communicate with me so that we can reach an agreement on content.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
...Please work however it is most convenient for you. Thank you for your help!

[edit] Mediator response

  • Case is closed as individual does not need mediation, only dealing with vandal. See my talk page for confirmation of this. --Simonkoldyk 05:27, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Discussion

While using the talk page of the article in question to solve a dispute is encouraged to involve a larger audience, feel free to discuss the case below if that is not possible. Other mediators are also encouraged to join in on the discussion as Wikipedia is based on consensus.

I'm not seeing a whole need for Mediation, it just looks like you have a couple of IP vandals, not really a content dispute they are just putting nonsense in their. Request semi-protection at Wikipedia:Requests_for_page_protection. --Simonkoldyk 00:04, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
