Where is the issue taking place?
page: Experience Design
Who's involved?
Ronz, Bob Jacobson, others
What's going on?
User Ronz as declared himself the arbiter and owner of this page. Any edits since he first appeared must be blessed by him or are deleted (and few, if any, are blessed by him). I don't know how this happened or how to share control over this topic but it's just not working. At the risk of appearing immodest, I'm one of the originators of this field and one of the original contributors to this page. Mine is currently the only published book on this topic, for example. Bob Jacobson and others are also a few of the experts in this area--and have been for many years. This is a quickly evolving field that has far-reaching ramificaitons and some controversial positions. However, none of this can be reflected on the page because Ronz undoes anything added that he doesn't like or agree about. His latest move is to delete all resources but one--and one that's not even recognized in this field (it's certianly not a commonly known, referenced, or credible source of information to practitioners in this area.
What would you like to change about that?
I would like this to be a participatory, community-developed resource around this topic, not the personal fifedom of one person. This SHOULD be the place where this community can keep each other informed and add to collective knowledge. Currently, it's just the opposite.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
Either way is fine with me, though I could certainly use some advice on how to handle this situation. Although I think Wikipedia is an incredible invention, it's not my passion to spend a huge amount of time on this one resource. In other words, I'm looking for fairly swift resolution that allows a community to develop without becoming a time-sink for me, you, or anyone else. My email: nathan@nathan.com

[edit] Discussion

Since absolutely no discussion has happened prior to this case creation, I suggest actual discussion, as I've done on the talk page where I discuss my edits and concerns with the article. --Ronz 20:17, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Yes, good idea. Addhoc 20:45, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
It's been a month. While I'm always open for discussion, I'm upset that this case has not been followed up by those that created it, nor had they made any previous attempts to discuss the issues with me or anyone else. Further, the case itself contains baseless personal attacks against me. I feel that WildfireSOMA has wasted the time of the Mediation Cabal and myself, and has taken advantage of our good faith.
As to not make this a total waste of time, I'd appreciate suggestions from third parties as to what I could have done differently in this situation. From my perspective, I made a number of small edits over many months, with a great deal of discussion on the Talk page. During the time I've made these edits, WildfireSOMA made a total of one edit from that account, his sole contribution to the article. Obviously, I'm completely surprised by his reaction. --Ronz 20:54, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
For what's it worth, I certainly don't think you did anything wrong. I'll close the case. Addhoc 14:11, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
