[edit] Request Information

Request made by: CyberGhostface 01:37, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
It is taking place at The End (A Series of Unfortunate Events)
Who's involved?
I, CyberGhostface, and Clamster5.
What's going on?
At the end of the last A Series of Unfortunate Events novel, Snicket had one more chapter titled Chapter Fourteen. (The nom for the previous books was thirteen). Because of this, it was treated like an actual book...title page, copyright, etc. However, it was still only a chapter. Still, an article was created here at Wikipedia for this one chapter, with the other users saying that it should be considered by itself a novel. I nominated the article for deletion, which resulted in a somewhat tense debate between Clamster5 and I, as Clamster5 had differing opinions than me and believed it was the most important chapter in the series and thus deserved its own article.
The consensus called for a merging of the two articles, so Clamster5 pretty much pasted the entire Chapter Fourteen article into the The End plot summary. What I did was remove the heading and attempt to integrate into the article and move the subsection lower at the bottom. An example of the differences can be seen [[1]].
Clamster5 reverted my edits, I reverted hers, and thus the whole thing escalated into an edit war.
What would you like to change about that?
I think Chapter Fourteen does deserve mention in the article, but I don't think it deserves an entire section header when it could just be integrated into the main plot.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
It doesn't matter either way.

[edit] Compromise offers

This section is for listing and discussing compromise offers.

Could the Chapter Fourteen have a subheading under the plot section? That way it will stand out, however it won't have a full section of its own. The possible secrets (which should be renamed to refer to the poem in it) could be moved down the page. Clamster5 12:14, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
I guess I could agree on this.--CyberGhostface 18:15, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Can this be our decision? And if I put this in place once Steel takes the block off, will you not revert it? Clamster5 19:11, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
No, I won't revert it. I really don't care anymore.--CyberGhostface 19:23, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Good. I'm going to request that the block be removed. Clamster5 20:21, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
