[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Alan.ca 08:41, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
Russ Powers living biography
Who's involved?
CJCurrie, Alan.ca
What's going on?
CJCurrie is including negative content regarding David Sweet, a political opponent of Russ Powers. I removed the content, but CJCurrie reverted the article with no discussion. I had removed this content several months ago, but chose to let the previous revert slide in hopes that the article would evolve beyond it.
What would you like to change about that?
The article could focus on what Russ Powers achieved in the campaign vs an opinion as to how an opponent specifically did not fair so well. The references to David Sweet could be removed as they do not enhance the notability of the subject of the biography, Russ Powers.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
Public discussion is fine with me.

[edit] Discussion

This request is a bit outdated. I have not restored the disputed text to the Russ Powers page since Alan.ca's last deletion, and I don't plan to do so without having solid support from outside sources (see my comments on the talk page). CJCurrie 00:39, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

My concerns are not limited to the verifiability of the statements. I have also mentioned two other points:

1) The content is negative and does not enhance the notability of the subject.

2) The content is not relevant to a living biography of Russ Powers.

There has been no discussion on these two points. Alan.ca 08:47, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
