[edit] Request Information
- Request made by: Hari Singh 06:30, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- Where is the issue taking place?
- I am trying to add a section on history from India and the view about animal rights from Sikhism but these are being reverted. I have discussed this at length on the discussion page but the agenda seems to be predetermined by a selected few dealing with this article. It appears that animal rights has become a "set topic" in western educational institutes and the issue covered have been restricted.
- Who's involved?
- user:slimvirgin
- What's going on?
- she does not accept that these views although found elsewhere can go here
- What would you like to change about that?
- I feel that any relevant views regarding this issue should be allowed as per WP policy
- Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
- not too concerned but I will leave it to you. My email if you need it is: - asikh@msn.com
[edit] Mediator response
I'm not totally sure that this issue is appropriate for mediation, because negotiation on the page in question is still going ahead. I would like to suggest that mediation be left as an option if negotiation fails, as so far it is civil and seems to be making progress. In that voice I would propose closing this mediation, and leaving opening a new one as an option. However, if this is not appropriate in your opinion I would be happy to go ahead. Thanks. —Xyrael / 16:53, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- I would not be willing to enter into mediation about this, as it's a fairly straightforward case of an editor trying to add original research, and other editors will be able to confirm that to the user in question. SlimVirgin (talk) 03:54, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

- Personally, I don't think there is a lot of point in continuing with a mediation where one of the primary involved parties is not willing to continue. For this reason, I am closing the mediation for the time being. Thank you. —Xyrael / 20:09, 15 October 2006 (UTC)
