[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Hackajar 15:18, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
Between main page and talk page of Panic! at the Disco
Who's involved?
Regular and irregular IP and users of PAtD article
What's going on?
The genre of band is being heavly disputed. Now, a user, User:HarryCane, appears to be burrying issue in sand by archiving debate in talk page and self imposing his "outcome" of talk debate onto Panic main page. Maybe he is just tired of reverting genre from IP addresses changing it three times a day.
What would you like to change about that?
Get clarification on where wikipedia recommends obtaining genre information from. Is it regular users of article, press, band themselfs, all of the above?
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
NO! Please make this public!

[edit] Mediator response

I've taken the case and will begin a discussion at Talk:Panic! at the Disco#Start. BaseballBaby 03:37, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

The editors involved in the discussion have chosen 'alternative rock' as the genre. I got confused at first and thought they had decided on 'power pop', but alternative rock has stuck for the last week. To their credit, the final solution was obtained without my help.
