[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Martyn Smith 21:58, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Where is the issue taking place?
... Casablanca page
Who's involved?
...Myself and user:Henry Flower
What's going on?
...I have tried to make entirely encyclopaedic changes to this page which this person keeps removing because they do not fit his subjective idea of what a film page 'should' look like. My view is that Casablanca is such an important film that instances where it has been quoted in other areas of popular culture are worthy of (I would say vital for) inclusion in the article.
What would you like to change about that?
...I maintain that my addtions are entirely relevant and pertinent to the subject matter of the page and that they should remain. I do not like the fact that somebody can just remove them in the way that one would remove random vandalism.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
...I don't mind how you tackle it. I haven't told user:Henry Flower that I have written this request. I would prefer it if you would send me update messages to my user page. Martyn Smith 21:58, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mediator response

First, all parties need to be part of the mediation, and so if you want to proceed with this Henry Flower will need to know about it. On the Casablanca talk page, you should post a notice of this mediation. If you do not want Henry Flower to know you have asked for mediation, then you need to withdraw the request for mediation. Mediation is where both parties work together, with the aid of a mediator, to reach a mutually satisfactory conclusion. Rick Norwood 14:20, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
