[edit] Request Information
- Request made by: CRCulver 03:47, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- Where is the issue taking place?
- Broken Flowers
- Who's involved?
- An anon IP
- What's going on?
- The "Ending Interpretations" section is pure original research/speculation and should be removed. Repeated requests for sourcing have gone unanswered. So far, three users have removed the section, but an anonymous IP keeps putting it back it, claiming that "Too much work has gone into it", as if something against WP:NOR should remain just because people "worked hard" on it.
-
- Nah, this formulation is incorrect. Only one person (of course CRCulver) has ever removed the section. It vanished for a moment because of the "Monsters 2" vandal, together with other content, but the vandalism got repaired by User:Really Spooky. Then CRCulver reverted to the "Monsters 2"-vandalized content, seemingly not noticing what Really Spooky really did - but of course he removed the section again. Finally, User:Timrem just commented it out. 82.120.120.72 10:13, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

- Wikipediatrix removed the section as well, I am not the only one who objects to it. CRCulver 11:13, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

- I don't see any edit by Wikipediatrix in Broken Flowers. He did some remarks in Talk, though. 82.120.120.72 11:26, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

- Ah, a minute after I wrote the above, she did contribute - by removing the section (so commenting out was not good enough? So it is not forbidden to edit during a mediation?) BTW, in CRCulver contributions history, one can see a 02:35, 19 June 2006 message to User:Wikipediatrix requesting "help": the two know each other from other "original research" battles, there was nothing very spontaneous here. Damn small world... 82.120.120.72 11:51, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

-
- What would you like to change about that?
- The original research and speculation should be removed, and all in the article should be NPOV, sourced from legitimate research outside Wikipedia, and stable without anon IPs reverting all the time.
-
- Hmm, but what does WP:NOR say about movies? And could you cite official reference for the trivia items? 82.120.120.72 10:13, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
- Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
- Doesn't matter
