[edit] Request Information

Where is the issue taking place?
The issue is taking place in editing of the article "Loung Ung". I requested peer review about a week ago, and now there is a conflict about the sizes of certain images and the inclusion of another. There are also conflicts about grammar and style. This article was a stub when I started several months ago, and I've put a lot of time, effort and research into it.
Who's involved?
Myself and Mel Etitis, who is an admin here in WP. I have a great deal of respect for his qualifications as a teacher and a Wikipedian, and I have no such credentials; nonetheless I am just as proud of the quality of my contributions here in WP as I'm sure he is.
What's going on?
I placed this article for peer review, and asked Mel and several other WPs if they would review it for me. Mel made several changes, most of which were minor. He also reduced the size of three images, UNG-CAM4.jpg, UngInCambodia.jpg, and Loung10.jpg, to thumb size, without comment as to why. I disagreed and increased their pixel count, with comments as to why. He, in turn, reduced their size again, and deleted the image Sem Ung.jpg, again with no explanation. I restored the deleted image and increased the other images pixel size, all with explanations as to why. He again deleted Sem Ung.jpg and reduced the other images to thumb size, with no explanation. And so here I am. It's been frustrating for me; I contribute in good faith and to the best of my ability. I've worked with admins who freely communicate. This experience is discouraging.
What would you like to change about that?
I'd simply like some explanation of the edits, so that I can understand the rationale. I accept reasonable edits, but I do not agree with those that were cited above. I don't care to go to his talk page and ask for explanations; he had ample opportunity to do so, as is customary here in WP, when he made the edits. "Tidying up" is not an explanation.
If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
I don't know what you mean by discretion. I certainly don't mind if Mel is aware of my gripe. I feel that he could have posted some explanation in his comments to the edits, or on the peer review discussion page, especially since an edit war was in the works. Yet he did neither. My work is not done haphazardly; there are reasons for the way I write and select/place/size images. But let these comments suffice for now. You can reach me at liddlebigboy@yahoo.com or 856-232-7908 in the evenings.
Would you be willing to be a mediator yourself, and accept a mediation assignment in a different case?
This is, following the Categorical Imperative, the idea that you might want to do
what you expect others to do. You don't have to, of course, that's why it's a question.
I'm unfamiliar with the process, but not averse to helping if I become qualified.

[edit] Evidence

Please report evidence in this section with {{Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Evidence}} for misconduct and {{Wikipedia:Mediation_Cabal/Evidence3RR}} for 3RR violations. If you need help ask a mediator or an advocate. Evidence is of limited use in mediation as the mediator has no authority. Providing some evidence may, however, be useful in making both sides act more civil.
Wikipedia:Etiquette: Although it's understandably difficult in a heated argument, if the other party is not as civil as you'd like them to be, make sure to be more civil than him or her, not less.

[edit] Compromise offers

This section is for listing and discussing compromise offers.
