[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Ryan4 01:25, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
Vincent Cannistraro and Talk:Vincent Cannistraro
Who's involved?
Myself Ryan4, who expanded the stub, added documentation and sourced footnotes. Vincecan who claims to be Vincent Cannistraro himself, and an accomplice of his Mike60
What's going on?
Even though I have footnoted every claim in the bio with a source that is from the mainstream media (e.g. UPI, AP, Washinton Post, etc.) or a book or interview, both users Mike60 and especially Vincecan would not stop deleting whole sections of the bio with no reason, never discussing anything calmly on the talk page, or presenting a counter-argument with relevant facts or sources to back up their claims that my sources were inaccurate.
What would you like to change about that?
If Vincecan is really Vincent Cannistraro, then he should not be editing a page about himself in the first place. Whether he is or not, I consider his actions along with Mike60's to be vandalism, and I'd like them to be banned from editing the page.
If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
My user talk page is fine, but ryan4@sas.upenn.edu is good too.
Would you be willing to be a mediator yourself, and accept a mediation assignment in a different case?
This is, following the Categorical Imperative, the idea that you might want to do
what you expect others to do. You don't have to, of course, that's why it's a question.
Fair enough, although I am unfamiliar with most technical aspects of wikipedia, although I am good at keeping a level head.
