[edit] Request Information

Request made by: Zeq 10:36, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Where is the issue taking place?
in Amin al-Husayni
Who's involved?
user:Zero0000, user: Cybbe, user:Ian_Pitchford and myself
What's going on?
Important facts about the person Biography (specifically his cooperation and support of the Nazis is WW-2) are removed from the opening section.
Secondary issues (like spelling of his name in various ways and les critical biogrphical facts) cloud the main issues in the biography.
What would you like to change about that?
  1. In Hebrew Wikipedia and all over the web the person is described as Pro-Nazi. He clearly was Pro-Nazi and Antisemite. These facts (as well as a brief description of his pro-Nazi activities) are important enough to be available to the reader, already in the first paragrpah. I am wiling to translate Hebrew Wikipedia article about Husayni which is NPOV and accurate)
  2. His actions in support of Nazy Germany and it's army during ww-2 should be linked to Nazi Germany (and not to present day Germany as some of the opposing editors tried to do). If Wikipedia collective wisdom is that Nazi Germany (at the 30s and 40s) is the exact same as Germany these two articles would be merged.
  3. This revert by cybbe [1] is of similar nature and I would like to include it as well. He systematically trying to waterdown colaboration with the Nazis.
If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
By e-mail but there is no need to. Thank you for consideraing my request.

Zeq is trying to change the article from a half-decent historical account into a vitriotic attack that pushes the Arabs=Nazis barrow. The unsavoury part of al-Husayni's life is covered in some detail already. The excessive name-calling that Zeq wants to add to the start of the article is contrary to NPOV policy and contrary to good article writing. What the article most needs now is no Zeq. --Zero 04:53, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Zeqs claim that facts are in some way watered down or hidden cant possibly be true, as name calling and tagging hardly qualifies as facts. There is no need to put the word nazi wikified in the introduction as many times as possible, and such editing is contrary to policy. --Cybbe 16:14, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
