- Where is the issue taking place?
- bag
- Who's involved?
- A number of IP addresses who didn't sign their names, User: Joy_Stovall, User: Janet13
- What's going on?
- Edit war over bag used as an insult; Joyous and I would like to remove it because it's un-referenced, reads like a bad list, and there seems to be no real attempts to turn it encyclopedic, just reversions. I normally wouldn't care, but recently, I've become more sensitive of the arguments over the encylopedia-ness of wikipedia.
- What would you like to change about that?
- Come to a consensus - either leave the insults if there are references and/or better explanations, or else remove them.
- If you'd prefer we work discreetly, how can we reach you?
- N/A
[edit] Mediator response
There does appear to be a recurrent content dispute in question, but the anon editing doesn't appear to have returned for some time now and it does not seem to be a specific IP reinserting the information, although 24.195.228.192 appears to be the more recent one. Alas, it is nigh-on impossible to mediate a dispute with a series of anons who are merely aggressively reinserting content, and it seems unlikely that voluntary mediation would really either be workable or possible under these circumstances. What I'll do is watch this page and if it does recur, I will request to the parties in question that they post their individual concerns here at the Mediation Cabal and enter a mediation process. --NicholasTurnbull | (talk) 23:09, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
- I think we can call this closed now Dan100 (Talk) 15:07, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
- On Jan 3, it got reinserted again. I reverted it tonight. Nicholas - it's continuing to be anonymous IP addresses... Janet13 00:10, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Comments by others
I'm not taking this on as a mediator; it's clear to be that the addition should not be there. Therefore I've taken it out again! This is some ten days after the article was last edited. If the anon doesn't come back after three days from now, I'd suggest that this matter be considered closed. Dan100 (Talk) 20:34, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
