- Talk:The_Good,_the_Bad_and_the_Ugly#Screen_shots_public_domain.3F The images on the Italian Wikipedia are listed as public domain according to Italian law (Italian-produced films over 20 years old); I wonder if they could freely be used on the English Wikipedia. - Talk:Wassily_Leontief#Birth_certificate Photo of birth certificate from Germany from 1905 - is it public domain? AdamSmithee 08:36, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Talk:Korean language#Example of text / sounds Can I include 3~4 lines from a book? Can I make a recording of that, and release it under a permissive license? --Kjoonlee 21:52, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
- Talk:Wisconsin International Raceway I was considering uploading two short (less than 1 minute) video clips of a few laps at stockcar races at two notable tracks, one of which is Wisconsin International Raceway. Is there any copyright concerns with uploading small portion of races at stockcar tracks since the product that they sell is what I taped? I would of course use a free copyright license for my contribution (as far as I am concerned it is acceptable for my contribution to be freely licensed). Royalbroil 02:16, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- Talk:New York Times Co. v. Sullivan#Copyright Examination request Request for an image of an "iconic" newspaper ad that probably is valid fair sue, adn may well be PD. DES (talk) 23:05, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Talk:Ron Catalano — the associated article has been deleted (by me) on the basis of a copyvio evaluation. Some commentary on the talk page suggests that the article might have been improperly deleted. This seems like an illustrative case of a person claiming to be the author of information posted on a website potentially retaining copyright to the posted material and therefore able to self-release to Wikipedia for use. --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 00:18, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- Talk:The_Cool_Wall There is discussion about the inclusion of a list describing the content of The Cool Wall. Guy keeps removing it because he believes the list contains creative content, while me and others claim that it is a compiled list of data (exempt from copyright) describing a section of the show Top Gear. --Edokter (Talk) 23:38, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- Image:Armgenocide.jpg - not a photo, an English editorial cartoon that I doubt the uploader drew. might, however, be PD-Old. --M@rēino 14:47, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Talk:Dundee and Newtyle Railway - would it be possible to use this [1] photo in the article. I notice that it says copyright university of dundee archive services but the date on the photo states it was taken in 1833 Ydam 18:36, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Template talk:Fairuseair - Is the rationale in this template satisfactory to justify fair use?

- Talk:Plimpton 322. Can we apply Bridgeman Art Library v. Corel Corp. to a picture of old babylonian tablets ? Schutz 11:27, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
- Talk:Shulgin Rating Scale wondering whether or not the rating scale itself can be reprinted here as fair use. --He:ah? 02:58, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- Talk:Aria (Russian band) - I received permission to post a biography from a website, but I found out that their biography was just a translation of the band's official biography in Russian. Would it be ok to post the translation? ~MDD4696 (talk • contribs) 23:14, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
- Talk:Tule fog. I have a question about this image [2]]. The website ([3]) allows any educational use, but "not for any direct or indirect commercial purpose or advantage." To me this reads very similar to the policy at the Smithsonian Institute, and we allow use of their images. BlankVerse [[User talk:BlankVerse|∅] 10:21, 5 September 2005 (UTC)
- Talk:Zelenchukskaya Would it be fair use to post a frame grab from the Zelenchukskaya BTA-6 in-dome webcam? The site itself says nothing about copyright on the images. --BillC 11:10, 28 August 2005 (UTC)
- Template talk:Gamecover and Template talk:Game-screenshot. This is a followup to an earlier discussion. Please see that thread for the details. Please have a look at the templates as they are now and say whether including them will make sure we are not violating Wikipedia policy? We'd like to get this cleared up so we can get on with improving WP!! Thanks in advance for your feedback. Jacoplane 00:41, 13 August 2005 (UTC)
- Image talk:Flight Corporal RCACS.png - Posted my question on the talk page. Dreamy 20:14, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
- Image:Hossein Yari.jpg - This image is wrongly licensed as GNU; could someone check whether it could be labeled as fair use instead? --Ibn Battuta 01:57, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
- I have a copyright question about an image that is not yet uploaded and am wondering if someone here could help me out. I just want to to make sure: Is such an image copyrighted? If not for the "image" part, then probably for the text? Just wondering. I would like to use it as a reference, but that doesn't seem very reasonable if the image is not accessible anymore... Thanks, Ibn Battuta 03:11, 18 May 2007 (UTC) PS: Just in case someone is wondering: It belongs to this e-bay auction. The page contains some line saying "All text and images not belonging to eBay in this auction are © 2007 MBoCC, Inc. All rights reserved." Well, I am not very trustful anymore with respect to self-proclaimed copyrights, so I thought I'd rather try to find out more here.
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I belive I found a copyright examantion on Harry Potter and the deathly hollows book.
