[edit] Medium Wave or Mediumwave ?

Something in me protests at "Mediumwave" but not at Shortwave, and about Longwave I am not sure. Yes there is inconsistency here, but is it Wikipedia's mission to impose consistency on us all? If so, there are millions of multi-band radio dials displaying MW and FM that we should quarantine.Cuddlyable3 19:13, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

Agreed. It's non-standard. "Long" and "short" are one-syllable words, but "medium," at three, is not usually turned into a compound. Google searches suggest at least 10:1 in favor of "medium wave." I'll move it. ProhibitOnions (T) 08:24, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
