I'm giving this parge a start with some external links and some bibliographic references. All sections still stubs Calicocat 04:29, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Added to stub lead to try to focus on general questions and give a few handles for article development. My hope is for this to become a will crafted, NPOV treatment of media economics.
