Talk:Media center

[edit] Page name
There was a page called Media Center (note capitalization) that was on a specific product. This difference in capitalization being the only difference between the two pages was confusing. Accordingly I moved Media Center to Media Center (software application) and changed the resulting redirect to point here instead. All references to the old Media Center were cleaned up and pointed at the Media Center (software application) page.
[edit] Proposed merge with Media Server
There is a page called Media Server, really I am of the opinion that Media Servers (in the sense of that article) are more commonly called Media Center and so the content should really come over here. -- cmh 21:36, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
- What about media hubs? Where do they fit in? --Zach 18:00, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
Sounds good to me --Zr2d2 00:01, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- The Media Server article is pretty confused, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with Media Centers as talked about in this article. As it's been several months since the merge was proposed and there doesn't seem to be any progress towards that front (and it also doesn't make sense), I'm removing the merge tags. —Cleared as filed. 13:27, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Shouldn't this be merged under Home Theater PC? A Media Center = Home Theater PC, does it not? Samix 14:51, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
