Medix Staffing Solutions, Inc. is a Lombard, Illinois-based healthcare staffing company, founded in 2001, that specializes in recruiting and placing qualified individuals in healthcare organizations. These organizations may include hospitals, medical groups and clinics, managed care organizations, insurance companies and medical billing and claims companies. At present, there are three different placement divisions within Medix. The first division is Clinical, which includes all types of nurses, occupational health practicioners, and medical assistants. The second is Allied Health, which contains within it such specialties as phlebotomy, pharmacy, and respiratory therapy. The last division is Med-Financial, which includes medical billing, payment posting, coding, and collections. These placements may be either temporary, temp-to-perm, or permanent placement.
At present, there are eight offices: Lombard, IL (Chicago), Overland Park, KS (Kansas City), Rockville, MD (Washington, D.C.), Scottsdale, AZ (Phoenix, AZ), Richardson, TX (Dallas), Orange, CA, Woburn, MA (Boston), and Houston, TX. Medix is opening up their ninth office, in New Jersey, in a few months. Medix employs over 100 employees internally.
