The Medium Tree-finch (Camarhynchus pauper) is a species of bird in the Emberizidae family. It is endemic to Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, and subtropical or tropical moist shrubland. It is threatened by habitat loss.

The range of beak sizes of Camarhynchus pauper on Floreana and Camarhynchus psittacula on Isabela is roughly the same. This reflects the fact that the two species feed on the same type and size of insect.
