Medina in its currently issued form is a disc by jazz vibraphonist Bobby Hutcherson. It is composed of two sessions recorded for the Blue Note label. The first, consisting of tracks 7-11, was recorded in 1968 but not released on vinyl until 1979, under the title "Spiral." The second session, recorded with the same personnel and consisting of the first 6 tracks, was first released on vinyl in 1980 under the title "Medina," which gives its name to this CD collection.
