Media Take Out is a blog-style gossip website catering to African Americans. It claims to be "The Most Visited Black Website in the World" and has an Alexa ranking of 1,754 as of April 26, 2008.[1]
It is owned by entrepreneur Fred Mwangaguhunga.
In June 2006 Media Take Out generated more than one million hits in one day. Exclusives have been quoted by BET Style, MTV News, The NY Post’s Page Six, and popular radio personalities like Wendy Williams, Russ Parr, and Tom Joyner. According to the founder, “we get 90% of our stories from insiders looking to spill the beans – like hairstylists, bodyguards or bitter ex-girlfriends.”[2]
