Media Agua is a town San Juan Province, Argentina. It is the headquarters of the municipal authorities of department Sarmiento. It is also one of the main towns of southern sanjuanino and is within the Tulum Valley, the main island of the province. It is the nucleus of a region of winemaking, horticulture, and mining.

Population was 6,784 as of 2001, which represents an increase of 34.4% compared to 5,049 at the 1991 census. Su majority population is located south while towards the north is more Escaz and is made up of neighborhoods and villages
Media Agua has a modern appearance, with contemporary architecture, paved roads and afforestation on the streets which is irrigated by small channels.
The fabric of the city develops in the form of a grid or damero, which succeeds in forming a perfect rectangle six blocks long by three blocks wide, with the most densly populated and comercially active areas at the center. It has a growth southward, where there are numbers neighborhood and villages, while northward growth is limited due to winemaking and farming in that area.
