MediaTek Inc. is a fabless semiconductor company, designing and selling components for wireless communication, optical storage, high-definition digital TV and DVD products. The company was founded in 1997. Its headquarters are in Taiwan, with sales and research subsidiaries in Mainland China, Singapore, India, Japan, Korea, USA, Ireland, Denmark and England. MediaTek is listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange under the code 2454.
