Medi-Cal
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Medi-Cal is the name of the Medicaid program in the State of California. It is jointly administered by the California State Department of Health Care Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), operating as a Medical Assistance Program under Title XIX of the Social Security Act.
Medi-Cal with the assistance from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation created The California Partnership for Long-Term Care. The goal is to protect Californians from being forced to spend everything they have worked for on long-term care, to prevent or delay dependence on Medi-Cal, and to protect their assets from Medi-Cal estate recovery.
