Medemblik (West Frisian: Memelik) is a municipality and a town in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West-Frisia. Medemblik received city rights in 1289. On 1 January 2007 it merged with the municipalities of Noorder-Koggenland and Wognum, yet retained its own name in the surviving municipality, even though it was the smallest of the three in population.

The municipal council of Medemblik consists of 13 seats, which are divided as follows:
- CDA - 3 seats
- VVD - 3 seats
- Gemeentebelangen - 2 seats
- PvdA - 2 seats
- Volkspartij Medemblik - 2 seats
- GroenLinks - 1 seat
