Medan (son of Abraham)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
According to the Hebrew Bible, Medan was the third son of Abraham, the patriarch of the Israelites, and Keturah, his concubine. (Genesis 25:2-6 and 1Chronicles 1:32) His name means 'contention' (twist, conflict). Medan had five brothers, Zimran, Jokshan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. (Genesis 25:1-6) Abraham sent his sons by Keturah to live in the east, far from his son Isaac.
