[edit] Geographic locations

Five Points is not Mechanicsville; rather it is in east Knoxville at McCalla, MLK, Olive, and Ben Hur (though a later road reconfiguration did away with the five-pointed intersection itself).

[edit] National Register Historic Districts

There are many more than three NR districts in Knoxville. Additionally, most of what is known as Mechanicsville is outside any national or local historic district. However, Old Mechanicsville and Knoxville College are each separate NR historic districts.
