Mechi Zone

Mechi is one of the fourteen zones of Nepal. Headquarters: Ilam. It comes under the Eastern division of Nepal, borders the Indian states of Sikkim and Bihar in the east and south and Tibet in the north. The largest city is Damak in the Terai. The population majority in Mechi are of Kirantis (Limbu, Rais) and Tibetan ethnic groups and North Indians.
