Mechanicsville, Maryland

Mechanicsville is a locale in Maryland known for its agriculture, Amish population, and large farmers' market/flea market. This city is located within the school district of Chopticon High School in St. Mary's County. A noted resident today is Steny Hoyer, Majority Leader of the United States House of Representatives. Ronnie Dove, 1960's romantic recording artist, also lives there.
