Mebetoys

Mebetoys was an Italian toy manufacturer which produced die-cast model cars during the 1960's. In 1969, it was bought by Mattel. Mattel marketed a range of 1/43 and 1/25 scale models under the Mebetoys name until the early 1980's, when the name was dropped, and the models were briefly marketed as part of the Hot Wheels range before being discontinued entirely. Mebetoys was founded by Mario Bessana. After selling the brand to Mattel, he set up Bburago, another company making model cars.
