Talk:Meatbee
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I believe Meatbee deserve notability both as they have multiple independent releases and they have gained notoriety via their cover of the Transformers theme song. I am adding references to this effect. -- Guybrush 01:38, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- Having now read the guidelines, I think Meatbee qualify under sections 1, 10 and 11; while their cover of the Transformers theme was not included on the film soundtrack, their attempt to be included has been reported in multiple media sources (I am looking for online links for this) and is associated with the film, in Australia if not elsewhere. The original 2004 Transformers cover was picked up by and placed in rotation by triple j at the time, and they have also had airtime as part of Unearthed. However I'm still new to the criteria for notability, as I don't create many new articles, so I await a consensus. -- Guybrush 01:59, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
- http://www.ozmusicproject.net/magazine/interview.asp?int=130 at least suggests some degree of notability. I'm removing the db-band tag (I didn't add it), but it would be best if you could establish notability in the article using other third party sources. Otherwise you may find your article is nominated for deletion by a more demanding Wikipedia process than WP:CSD... Best regards Tree Kittens 08:17, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
