Meathaus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Meathaus (sometimes spelled Meat Haüs or Meathaüs) is a comics anthology created by the Meathaus Collective, created by a group of artists who attended New York City's School of Visual Arts in or around 2000. Many of its members have become celebrated cartoonists and painters in their own right, including Esao Andrews (esao.net), James Jean (consistent covers for DC Comics' Fables), Farel Dalrymple (Pop Gun War), and Tomer Hanuka (Harvey nominated Bipolar).
There have been seven Meathaus anthologies so far, some of which have been nominated for various awards in the comics industry. In some ways, it is similar to The Ganzfeld, another recent New York City publication, published by former St. Louis, Missouri art students.
