[edit] Old Mearns School
The older Mearns School, further north on Ayr Road (at approximately 55° 46' 24.28" N, 4° 19' 53.24" W), was a traditional Scottish schoolhouse of some architectural merit. It, and its 1960s additional buildings, were knocked down to build a parking lot in early 2006.
