Mean Streak is a wooden roller coaster located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, United States. It is a wooden roller coaster and was the tallest and fastest one of its kind when it debuted in 1991. It was constructed using 1.7 million board feet (4,000 m³) of treated Southern Yellow pine. Although Cedar Point holds the record for the most roller coasters at one park (17), Mean Streak is one of only two wooden roller coasters there.[1]
With a duration time of just over three minutes, the Mean Streak is the longest ride of any roller coaster in the park.

[edit] The ride
After ascending the 161-foot-tall lift hill, Mean Streak drops riders at a 52-degree-angle and over two large elevated curves. The on-ride-photo is at the bottom of the second curve. Mean Streak criss-crosses the wooden structure nine times, and speeds through the wooden supports at 65 mph. Mean Streak offers small amounts of airtime to riders and extraordinary turbulence. Also, many riders find the Mean Streak's name ironic because after the ride most riders experience headaches.

[edit] The trains
Passengers are strapped in by a seatbelt and a lapbar. There are three trains; a red train, a gold train, and a green train.
